Story
Shiva faced numerous hurdles in his life, beginning with the early loss of his father. Despite his mother’s unwavering support, the family struggled to make ends meet. With two daughters and two sons to provide for, financial strain took its toll. Unable to afford the necessities for all four children, the mother made the difficult decision to marry off her daughters at a young age. Tragically, the weight of their circumstances became too heavy for her, leading to her untimely death by suicide.
Challenge
With their mother’s passing, the burden of providing for the family fell heavily on the shoulders of Shiva and his siblings, particularly the sisters, who took on the responsibility of caring for their disabled brother and providing financial support. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to afford the educational expenses required to support Shiva’s aspirations for a better future.
Solution
A ray of hope entered Shiva’s life when he and his sisters discovered the Skandhanshi Foundation through a relative. Recognising the opportunity for support and assistance, they wasted no time enrolling Shiva in the foundation. With the foundation’s help, Shiva’s educational needs were finally met, providing him with the resources and opportunities necessary to excel academically.
Impact
Freed from the financial constraints that once held him back, Shiva is now able to focus wholeheartedly on his education and personal development. With the foundation’s assistance, he is excelling academically, surpassing all expectations and unlocking his full potential. The burden that once weighed heavily on his family has been lifted, allowing Shiva and his siblings to envision a future filled with hope and opportunity.
